I support ACORN!

Because:

America is a nation founded on Democratic principles, including the right and responsibility of citizens to participate in the civic process by voting;

ACORN is an organization that works tirelessly to encourage and facilitate that participation;

The recent Republican attacks on ACORN are unconscionable and unfounded, particularly in light of that party's own, much more serious, attempts at election fraud; and the media's uncritical regurgitation of those attacks have eschewed criticism and analysis in favor of sensationalism.

We are joining together to voice our support and gratitude for ACORN and the services it provides.

Furthermore, we urge both politicians and media to address the unfounded attacks on ACORN fairly and critically, and to eschew sensationalism in favor of accuracy and analysis. We are saddened and sickened to see the rampant disenfranchisement of voters tolerated and ignored while an organization whose very purpose is to facilitate citizens' participation in the civic process is unfairly and violently condemned in what amounts to little more than a transparent attempt to actively prevent election results from reflecting the position of the majority of Americans.

Thank you, ACORN, for the good work you have done and continue to do. We support you!
